IPM Limited were appointed by The States of Jersey Department for Infrastructure to Project Manage a new multi-level store building and steelwork platform modifications within the existing operating Energy from Waste (EfW) plant.The project consisted of enabling works to underpin existing foundations to withstand additional store loadings and design and procurement of the store building which included structural steelwork, cladding, air conditioning, access control and fire main sprinkler system. In addition platform modification were carried out within the plant which required precise survey working at height.IPM Limited had various tasks which they needed to provide.These included:
Procure services of structural engineer and assess options for store building within existing plant. Survey existing platforms and design alterations necessary for operation and maintenance of existing plant.
Issue of Tender documentation and marking returned tenders. Value engineering of the design to work within client's budget.
Provide project programme and monitor progress, provide contract administration services.
Monitoring the completion of construction works, comply with statutory requirements, attend practical completion and monitor rectification of defects before final payment.
The project was completed on time meeting the client's requirements and was within budget.
