Health & Safety Project Co-ordinator

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Project Coordinator to join our team. This role offers a clear pathway for growth, with the opportunity to expand your responsibilities and eventually lead the delivery and coordination of our HSPC services.

 

You will play a pivotal role in advising clients, coordinating health & safety aspects of design, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety documentation throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, in line with the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016.

What You’ll be Doing

Client Advisory: Advise and assist clients with their duties under the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016.

Project Notification: Notify the Health and Safety Inspectorate of major construction projects as defined by the regulations.

Design Coordination: Coordinate the health and safety aspects of design work and cooperate with other project participants.

Communication Facilitation: Facilitate good communication between clients, designers, and contractors regarding health and safety matters.

Information Management: Identify, collect, and disseminate pre-construction information relevant to the construction phase.

Health & Safety File Management: Prepare and update the health and safety file throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in health and safety coordination within the construction industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices and risk management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project scheduling software.

  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.
