Health and Safety Project Coordinator
IPM were appointed by BNP Paribas (Jersey) to project manage the Category B fit out of their new offices over two floors in the IFC 1 building on Jersey's waterfront. BNP Paribas occupied three separate office spaces in town and the aim of Project Unity was to collocate over 300 staff to one flagship office. The result is a state of the art office facility over 24,000sqft with a dedicated client suite and refreshment amenities, including a staff café.IPM were responsible for the appointment of the consultant team and managed the design and costs whilst being responsible for the overall programme and delivery. The design stage included the mechanical and electrical elements with particular attention to the IT and security infrastructure as demanded by the operations of a large bank.The lead Contractor for the Category B fit out was selected through a tender process managed by IPM and all associated Contract management tasks were undertaken by IPM as the appointed Contract Administrator.Furniture selection was a key element to the success of this project. IPM managed the furniture selection, tender process and procurement. The chosen furniture compliments the architectural design and functional requirements with powered sit-stand desks, break out areas, staff café furniture and bespoke client suite pieces.IPM were responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety during the project and were engaged to undertake the Health and Safety Project Coordinator role during the construction works.The finished offices are state of the art and have achieved the ambition of BNP Paribas to co-locate the various on island teams, support their diverse activities whilst providing a first class client suite. This project was delivered on time and on budget.
