IPM were proud to manage our client’s relocation from their existing premises into a new 37,000sq ft office space.

The project began with working closely with the client to fully establish their business needs, operational requirements and aspirations for the new workplace. This helped ensure the proposed premises were suitable for both their immediate requirements and future needs.

As part of the early due diligence process, IPM coordinated the appointment of the design team and worked closely with the interior architect and mechanical and electrical engineer to review the existing building, assess the landlord’s Cat A proposals and help develop the overall design brief.

IPM then managed the design process through to tender, coordinated the tender process and supported the client with the appointment of the main contractor.

Alongside the main construction works, IPM coordinated a number of client direct workstreams, including the procurement, delivery and installation of furniture, IT and AV requirements and other specialist packages, ensuring these were fully integrated with the main works programme.

During the construction phase, IPM acted as Project Manager, Contract Administrator and HSPC, managing the project through construction, snagging, completion and handover.

As the project moved towards completion, IPM also developed and managed a detailed transition programme to coordinate the client’s move into the new office. This included managing final contractor activities, client direct installations and occupation requirements.

The result was a successful transition into the client’s new workplace, delivered below the allocated project budget and within the client’s required timeframe, with IPM providing continuity from the initial brief through to final occupation
